DESCRIPTION
Combining the heritage styling of the Danner's classic Mountain 600 (one of Danner's best-loved hiking boots) with trusted, premium components to create a boot with the stability and support you need for long-distance backpacking.
The Mountain 600 Evo feature a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX liner that keeps your feet dry on long, rainy days on the trail. A TPU shank distributes weight evenly underfoot and provides stability over rugged terrain while allowing your foot to feel the benefits of the Vibram SPE midsole's rebound and cushioning.
Full-Grain Leather Upper - Danner put their leather through six different tests to ensure it’s the strongest and most durable to make a boot from.
GORE-TEX: Waterproof meets future proof, combining outdoor performance and environmental responsibility. These liners use 45% post-consumer recycled materials to achieve the 100% waterproof yet breathable performance you expect from a GORE-TEX liner.
Removable Ortholite Footbed - The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation, with three layers of varying density for maximum cushioning and support.
Vibram® SPE Midsole - This rubberised EVA midsole maintains the same cushioning properties as traditional EVA, but is more durable and won’t break down as easily. This technology enhances rebound, comfort and support.
VibramM® FUGA Traction Outsole - With its self-adapting lugs and specially formulated Megagrip compound, this outsole provides incredible grip on both wet and dry surfaces. Vibram® Traction Lug technology increases the outsole's surface area for greater traction.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Charles Danner opened the doors of Danner Shoe Mfg. Company in the old logging town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with twelve employees to build affordable, handcrafted work boots. In the 1960’s they recognised the cultural shift towards activities in the outdoors like hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing becoming America’s only domestic manufacturer of walking boots.
Building on nearly a century of traditions and high standards of quality originally instilled by their founder, Danner continue to design and manufacture a complete line of hiking, hunting, uniform, work and lifestyle boots in their world-class factory in Portland, Oregon, USA.
