Jacques Cousteau

"Inspired by the groundbreaking work and travels of Monsieur Jaques Cousteau, this is our version of the timeless classic seaman’s cap.

Made out of ecological 100% Bluesign® wool, this Makia & Villa Wool collaboration represents values that we both strive for in our products. Quality craftsmanship, timeless designs and products that show the middle finger to today's throwaway-ism. Enjoy and wear with pride, The Calypso Cap."

Based in the old workers district Punavuori, in Helsinki, Finland, Makia is a modern, yet old fashioned clothing company that reflects the Finnish tradition of simple straightforward design. Founded in 2001 by a group of friends, with an intention of creating a line of accesible, timeless clothes. Designs reflecting values that the Nordic people have traditionally lived by, and the harsh climate meaning they require their clothes to be hard wearing and highly functional.

Villawool is a family company established in Helsinki, Finland back in 1975. Still run by the Tikkanen family they make hand made products in their own factory on the beautiful medieval island of Saaremaa.
