|Fjällräven’s product developer Daniel Holmgren says: “When we created Skogsö Jacket, our aim was to create a well ventilated, functional outdoor jacket in a modern style, a jacket that you could use both in the mountains and urban areas.”|
Slightly longer in the back to keep you covered and making it just as comfortable trekking as it is when biking to and from work. The Skogsö Jacket provides protection from the wind and light rain showers while also offering good ventilation, which means that you will not become as sweaty as you would when wearing a fully waterproof garment or synthetic shell.

A two-way zipper in the front hides behind a protective flap that has push buttons at the hem, in the middle of the chest and at the chin. Provenance and Ethics
The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains. Åke, who spent more time outdoors than indoors, did not like the backpacks that were available at that time. He decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden frame.
This backpack frame was the start of Åke's company, Fjällräven, in 1960. The name Fjällräven means Arctic Fox in Swedish and the name is in honour of the small predator which lives in the Swedish mountains in the harshest of climates.
