Spruce Resin Woodsman Chewing Gum
An old natural alternative to modern synthetic and sweetened chewing gum. This product is made from 100% resin from northern Swedish spruce tree (picea abies). It is initially hard and brittle but soon becomes chewy.
Spruce resin and other similar natural products have been used among many indigenous peoples around the world. There is evidence to suggest spruce resin was chewed as far back as the stone age in northern Sweden. The tradition of collection and chewing spruce resin has lived on in the north of Sweden is still done today.
