Hand screenprinted using eco waterbased inks by Get A Grip Studio. The t-shirt is a fitted style and ethically made by Earth Positive Apparel in organic unbleached cotton.
PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
William Exley is an illustrator/print maker, currently living and working in London.
Get A Grip Studio started from a combination of DIY ethics, ecological thinking and a love of Punk Rock. They specialise in screenprinting using eco-friendly waterbased inks, in their workshop in Digbeth, Birmingham.
EarthPositive make climate neutral T-shirts and totes. Organic and ethically made, manufactured using sustainable energy generated from wind and solar power. They have specifically chosen to work in regions where organic cotton is planted and harvested by hand, without mechanisation, and because organic farming does not use petroleum based chemical fertiliser, pesticide or herbicide, it is less reliant on fossil fuels.
EarthPositive is a 100% organic product, produced under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and certified by The Control Union and The Soil Association. EarthPositive is GM free.
To help tackle sweatshop labour, EarthPositive make their manufacturing supply chain transparent, through an independent audit by the Fair Wear Foundation. The FWF exists to promote fair labour conditions in the clothing industry.
