DESCRIPTION

The Kaipak 38 is Fjällräven's robust 38 litre pack for short overnight trips and day hikes. Constructed from G-1000 Heavy Duty Eco in organic cotton and recycled polyester, the Kaipak 38 can be waxed with Greenland Wax to add water repellency and durability. The hipbelt and shoulder straps on this version are adapted to fit a woman’s body type.

“We wanted to create a simple, uncomplicated backpack with technical details and a really comfortable carrying system. Kaipak is made from our own durable outdoor fabric G-1000 HeavyDuty Eco. The base has a double layer of strong nylon fabric that keeps moisture out when you place your backpack on a wet surface.”
Fjällräven Product Developer: Neal Fernandez

With a fixed back length, shoulder straps and hipbelt for a female body type. The hipbelt has two pockets for easy access items like phones, cameras and snacks. The pack has a spacious top loaded main compartment finished with a snow lock, whilst the top lid can be raised and has two useful pockets.

Added attachment loops make strapping ice axes, trekking pools and other accessories to the pack easy. For items you might need in a hurry there are zippered pockets on the front and both sides. PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains. Åke, who spent more time outdoors than indoors, did not like the backpacks that were available at that time. He decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden frame, this frame became the start of Åke's company, in 1960.

To this day Fjällräven stays true to Åke's vision of offering functional equipment for journeys in the outdoors. Fjällräven develop environmentally friendly fabrics and co-operate with partners to improve the environment and support biodiversity.
