The Squamish Hoody is designed to be essential, packable wind protection, perfect for active adventure in mild, but shifting weather.
Taking its name from Squamish, BC - the home to climbers, hikers and skiers, a unique place where mountains meet the coast. Made from an advanced and highly wind-resistant nylon that offers surprising strength for its low weight, it features ultralight minimalist construction, an adjustable Stormhood™, No Slip Zip™, dual hem adjustments and even stows down in to its chest pocket so you can easily stash it in a pack or clip it to a harness.
Please note: This product has a No Slip Zip™. The main zipper is equipped with “speed bumps” near the collar to avoid self-opening.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Originally founded as Rock Solid Manufacturing by David Lane in 1981, In 1990 Lane brought Jeremy Guard, a fellow climber, into the fold and in 1991 they renamed the company Arc’teryx - a nod to the Archaeopteryx lithographica, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight - the first bird - and the brand’s instantly recognisable logo is a depiction of the Berlin specimen of the Archaeopteryx. Their philosophy is guided by the belief that durability is the strongest path to sustainability.
