DESCRIPTION
Like its namesake, Patagonia's water-loving Merganzer Hat looks as good duck-diving waves as it does searching for them, with a brim rope that doubles as a stowable chin strap so there's no chance of losing it when the waves get high. Built of 96% NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution/4% spandex plain weave, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that's made without PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals). Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
The beautifully breathable fabric is built of 96% NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon - made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution and a 4% spandex plain weave. With a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that's made without PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals) that will shed light moisture.
The soft, floatable brim has a dark underbill to reduce glare and protect your eyes from the sun. The brim rope serves double-duty as a chin strap, keeping the hat in place for duck dives, without looking out of place away from the waves. Low-profile, adjustable, quick-release buckle in back provides a snug fit; discreet leash anchor keeps your cap secure, even when submerged and a lightweight, low-profile sweatband offers moisture and temperature management, with miDori™ bioSoft for added wicking and softness, and HeiQ® Mint odour control.
