DESCRIPTION
Arc'teryx's most versatile GORE-TEX shell. Made with a durable 80D face fabric and a GORE‑TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane that's light, strong, and PFC-free - the Beta Jacket delivers lasting waterproof, windproof, breathable protection with a reduced carbon footprint.
The C-KNIT backer is light, soft and adds comfort, and the low-profile StormHood adjusts with a quick pull to provide coverage and maintain lines of sight. Articulation removes restriction, and an embedded RECCO reflector can aid in search emergencies. With articulated patterning that won't restrict your mobility, and dual lower hem adjusters to keep the jacket close and the elements out. Two hand pockets with zippers are backed up with an internal, laminated pocket with a zip.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Originally founded as Rock Solid Manufacturing by David Lane in 1981, In 1990 Lane brought Jeremy Guard, a fellow climber, into the fold and in 1991 they renamed the company Arc'teryx - a nod to the Archaeopteryx lithographica, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight - the first bird - and the brand's instantly recognisable logo is a depiction of the Berlin specimen of the Archaeopteryx. Their philosophy is guided by the belief that durability is the strongest path to sustainability.
