This is the Mini version of the iconic Kånken Backpack, at about half the size of the original Classic Kånken this is the perfect choice for a smaller pack or handbag replacement.

Originally designed for Swedish school children in 1978, the Kånken has since become a well-loved and iconic backpack for children and adults around the world. Made from Fjällräven's durable Vinylon F fabric, which repels moisture better than any other synthetic fabric, the Kånken is unparalleled in its functionality and design.

This is the original Kånken Mini design, featuring a removable seat cover in the pocket at the back, simple shoulder straps and handle on top, and a reflector in the logo. Main compartment zipper opens along the front panel of the bag, allowing you to open it wide and easily find your gear. The pocket on the front is perfect for quick grab essentials.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains and not liking the backpacks that were available at that time, decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden frame. To this day, Fjällräven develop environmentally friendly fabrics and co-operate with partners to improve the environment and support biodiversity.
