DESCRIPTION
A heavy, warm winter jacket from Fjällräven. Made in their signature G-1000 fabric and ideal for cold, snowy conditions. Produced without PFAS.
The Övik Padded Jacket is based on the classic design and strong Fjällräven DNA of their classic Down Jacket No. 16, this jacket is padded with PrimaLoft® Black Insulation RISE with P.U.R.E. Technology and has a simpler, non-reversible design. The outer G-1000 fabric can be adapted with Greenland Wax for enhanced weather resistance or increased breathability. Ideal for cold, snowy, windy or lightly rainy conditions, this jacket will keep you warm and comfortable during the colder months.
Two top-loaded hand pockets with flaps and zippered side pockets give you plenty of space to stash a phone and outdoor essentials, along with an inside zippered pocket and stash pockets. The hip length two-way zipper allows you to trap in warmth or vent quickly when needed. Adjustable hood, hem and cuffs help retain heat even more.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
The story behind Fjällräven began in 1950 when Åke Nordin, a 14-year-old boy from Örnsköldsvik in Northern Sweden, was about to go for a trek in the mountains. Åke, who spent more time outdoors than indoors, did not like the backpacks that were available at that time. He decided to take matters into his own hands and built a wooden pack frame.
To this day Fjällräven stays true to Åke's vision of offering functional equipment for journeys in the outdoors. Fjällräven develop environmentally friendly fabrics and co-operate with partners to improve the environment and support biodiversity.
G-1000 Eco: G-1000 is Fjällräven’s cornerstone material, used across their range from backpacks to jackets and trousers. It’s a densely woven fabric made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and now in the G-1000 Eco the polyester is 100% recycled and the cotton is organic. With the right care, it’ll last for ages making it a great choice for durability and long lasting gear.
