DESCRIPTION
The 3-layer Granite Crest Jacket from Patagonia is ideal for all-day movement on the trail in wet, rainy conditions. Designed to be both high performance and responsibly made - with NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon ripstop produced from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution, and with a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals).
With a slick jersey backer, a waterproof/breathable barrier and a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals) - this jacket meets Patagonia's high performance H2No® standard meaning it will perform exceptionally well in wet conditions. The hood has a laminated visor that effectively sheds water, plus two-way adjustment that provides good visibility in poor conditions with or without a helmet.
Centre-front zipper and chest pocket with watertight zips and zipper garages and two welted handwarmer pockets that stay clear of pack waistbelt or harness. Under the arms there are pit zips with welted, watertight two-way zippers to provide ventilation when the walking gets tough. Adjustable drawcord cinch at the hem is routed up through front pockets to seal out weather and reduce bulk under pack waistbelt. The Granite Crest even self-stuffs into left-chest pocket for keeping with you for any day use.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, the company's roots are in clothing for rock and alpine climbing, but they now produce a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards skiers, snowboarders, surfers and climbers. Patagonia are a world leader in creating ethical, sustainable clothing.
NetPlus® Recycled Nylon: Since 2014, Patagonia has supported Bureo’s development of NetPlus through Tin Shed Ventures®, Patagonia’s venture capital fund. Initially used in products like caps as hat brims were fairly straightforward, theirr material developers had to work closely with the supply-chain partners to figure out a way to chemically transform the plastic in the fishing nets into a high-quality yarn that can be used in other garments, too. From the 2022 season, 344 metric tons of nets will be woven into Patagonia clothing in a range of products from Patagonia's hat brims to jackets , Costa sunglasses, Futures surf fins - and even Jenga games.
