DESCRIPTION

The Pendleton Crib Blankets are made especially for babies - made from their softest and cuddliest wool, which makes them perfect for a young child. These are a favourite for gifting, and can also be used on a sofa or a smaller bed.

From Pendleton: "One of our earliest and most enduring blankets. The vivid pattern, designed in the early 20th century, symbolizes the strength and bravery characteristic of this noble Nez Perce leader, whose courage and determination won him great respect in peace and war."

  • Material: 82% pure virgin wool / 18% cotton / Felt-bound
  • Care: Dry clean only
  • Size: 32" x 44" (81 x 112 cm)
  • Napped: The fabric is combed for a softer, thicker feel
  • Made in the USA

      PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

Pendleton's family history in Oregon dates back to 1863 when Thomas Kay, a young English weaver opened his own mill in Salem, Oregon. In 1909 Thomas's three grandsons, Clarence Morton Bishop, Royal Thomas Bishop, and Robert Chauncey Bishop opened Pendleton Woolen Mills. Six generations later Pendleton Woolen Mills is still run in Oregon by the Bishop family.
