DESCRIPTION

From Opinel, the ideal tool for pruning back plants. It has a curved and varnished handle for a comfortable feel in the hand and a reinforced blade making it indispensable in the garden.

  • Blade Length: 8 cm
  • Blade Material: Sandvik stainless steel 12C27M - anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.
  • Blade Hardness: 57-58 HRC
  • Handle: Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its lighter colour is characterised by the presence of numerous small dark dashes
  • Safety Ring: Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all of Opinel's folding knives. Cut out of stainless steel, it can be used for locking the blade open (safety in use), or to lock the blade closed (safety in transport)
