Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973. The company's roots are in making clothing for rock and alpine activities, but production has since been expanded to a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards all outdoor activities. A world leader in creating responsible, sustainable clothing, they are the founding member of 1% for the Planet and support many grassroots environmental organisations.
