DESCRIPTION
A classic layer among mountain communities for a reason, the R1® Pullover Hoody from Patagonia is a versatile technical fleece for stop-start activities in cool conditions. The 93% recycled polyester/7% elastane fleece blend is built in a classic grid pattern to trap heat and wick moisture while providing light, stretchy and packable warmth.
The hybrid design boosts warmth around your chest and shoulders while improving back and underarm breathability and venting extra heat. The fabrics provide outstanding stretch and increased mobility, especially when reaching overhead. Featuring a low-profile and Capilene® thermal weight hood, a fabric that provides warmth while allowing for mobility and visibility, and easily layers well under a helmet.
With a deep centre-front zipper and a soft kissing-welt zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort; the longer torso stays tucked in under a harness or a pack waistbelt. A zippered left-chest pocket with an air-permeable mesh pocket bag maintains breathability. Offset shoulder seams sit comfortably under pack straps and a low-bulk hem and low-profile thumb holes on the cuffs provide added coverage in cold conditions and easy layering.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, the company's roots are in clothing for rock and alpine climbing, but they now produce a diverse mix of apparel targeted towards skiers, snowboarders, surfers and climbers. Patagonia are a world leader in creating ethical, sustainable clothing.
Recycled Polyester: Polyester is a naturally water-repellent material that can withstand the elements. Using polyester fibre made from mechanically recycled plastic bottles reduces CO2 emissions, and Patagonia are working toward eliminating all virgin polyester in their products by 2025.
Fair Trade: Patagonia now use more than 20 Fair Trade factories that specialise in the production of outdoor clothing, paying a premium for every Patagonia item that is made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory. They actively encourage other brands that do business in those factories to join them in the Fair Trade movement, ensuring living wages within the supply chain.
