Inspired by decades of hiking boot heritage, Danner have partnered with Vibram to forge a new path in hiking footwear., combining classic styling with lightweight innovation.
The combination of the Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole gives an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces while providing superior cushioning without excessive weight. With the variety of climate and terrain in the Pacific Northwest of America in mind, the Mountain 600 boots utilise a rugged, waterproof suede upper and Danner Dry waterproof protection to keep you comfortable no matter the conditions.
Suede Upper - These uppers are made from rich, thick, durable suede.
Danner Dry - 100% waterproof barrier allows moisture to escape without letting water in, keeping your feet dry and comfortable all day long.
Vibram® SPE Midsole - This rubberised EVA midsole maintains the same cushioning properties as traditional EVA, but is more durable and won’t break down as easily. This technology enhances rebound, comfort and support.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS
Charles Danner opened the doors of Danner Shoe Mfg. Company in the old logging town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with twelve employees to build affordable, handcrafted work boots. In the 1960’s they recognised the cultural shift towards activities in the outdoors like hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing becoming America’s only domestic manufacturer of walking boots.
Building on nearly a century of traditions and high standards of quality originally instilled by their founder, Danner continue to design and manufacture a complete line of hiking, hunting, uniform, work and lifestyle boots in their world-class factory in Portland, Oregon, USA.
